Use CQ Researcher to start your research

• Brainstorm a topic from current social issues
• Read about the context and background of an issue  
• See an issue from multiple perspectives
• Investigate sources in a report bibliography
• Gather terminology specific to a topic

CQ Researcher can be accessed from the Library homepage. 

• Locate the Databases tab, and select CQ Researcher from the pull-down menu alphabetically (see image below) or use the direct link.

Searching

Begin a keyword search at the top of the CQ Researcher main page.

• Search for keywords and browse corresponding reports  (example: abortion)
• Some topics may have more than one report.
• Note the date the report was published and look for current reports and updates to the topic

• Browse broad topics by selecting Browse
• Topics and Browse Reports at the top of the page  

• Browse and brainstorm using the Hot Topics on the right side of the main page
