What changes have been made in the library?
Along with other departments on campus, Hewes Library has made several changes over the course of the summer in preparation for the return of our students. Some of the steps we’ve taken include:
How will this change library services?
Actually, all of these changes will have very little impact on our services. We will still be able to provide access to a wealth of digital and print materials. However, instead of running up to retrieve the book from the stacks, a library staff member will do it for you. You will still be able to take advantage of library research instruction and tutorials provided in a variety of formats. Students will be able to receive research assistance from the librarians via chat, email, telephone, Zoom, or in person. WorldShare Interlibrary Loan is active and I-Share will be activated soon. This service will continue to have a slower-than-usual response time due to fewer libraries participating and quarantine requirements for materials.
Library staff will assist remotely during hours of service: Monday - Friday 8am-12noon, 1pm-5pm
